Provincial Governor

Archons, or provincial governors, are often chosen among the noble families to take care of a province. Sometimes a retired or active warlord earns this title and responsibilities.
An archon is responsible for some bureaucratic parts, as taxes and census, but also have almost unlimited power to judge crimes. Depending on the State, their rights and powers vary, but one can say they are mighty nobles under the Archigeos, or chief of the clan.
